Get comfortable flying above the water with private, step-by-step instruction. Each 90-minute lesson gives you focused coaching, premium efoil equipment, and the time to build from the fundamentals to your first controlled flight.
A few things to know
Is a lesson right for complete beginners?
Absolutely. No surfing or foiling experience is needed. We begin with the board, hand controller, and safe riding basics before working toward lift and your first flight.
Where will we meet?
We choose the Southern California riding location around the day's water and weather conditions. Your exact meeting details will be confirmed before the lesson.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes. Riders need to be comfortable swimming in open water, since falling in is a normal part of learning.
What safety gear do I need?
A life jacket and helmet are required while riding. We provide the efoil, hand controller, and required safety gear.
What should I bring?
Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, water, and a change of clothes. Depending on the season and water temperature, a wetsuit may make your ride more comfortable.
What happens to the board when I fall?
Releasing the hand controller stops the motor. Your instructor will also show you how to fall clear of the board and remount safely.
Are there age or weight restrictions?
Efoiling works for many ages and ability levels, but equipment fit and water confidence matter. Contact us with the rider's age and approximate weight so we can confirm the right setup.

Two riders · Learn and fly together
Designed for friends, couples, or family members. Take turns riding while your instructor coaches both of you throughout the session.

Your participant waiver.
Download the iFoil SoCal LLC waiver and read both pages before your lesson. It covers the risks of efoiling, participant responsibilities, and the release of liability.
Print one copy per rider and bring it to your lesson. A parent or legal guardian must complete the consent section for riders under 18.
